A memorable neighbor.

Chuck Ford.

He was our neighbor for most of my childhood.

When we were young, he would come play at our house and I over at his. I was never allowed to actually play IN his house. But as long as my mom could see me in the yard we were good.

Our friendship was a little bi-polar though.

One day he would be helping me dip toilet paper in the toilet and throwing it on the wall. The next minute he would be saying naughty words and getting sent home.

One day he would be sharing his cars with me and the next day he would refuse to leave our yard even though my older sister was threatening and pretending to call the cops.

He really wasn't the nicest kid. But he came from a not so nice familly life. But my parents always let him come back and forgave him of his many offenses.

Like the time he broke into our house when we were out of town and stole all our fireworks and some of our jewelry. How did we know it was him? Because he had given his sister my sister's neclace that said, "I am a Child of God."

Or the time he tried to kiss me. And my sister. And my other sister. He never had a chance.

He had really stinky feet. He would come and jump on our trampoline and man could he clear the yard.
