Prove it!

10/7/11
Hubs got his first ticket today.  And can you believe that he is actually blaming me for it?! He's so mean.

Why would he do such a mean thing?

Probably because I was driving.

The ticket came in the mail. It contained 3 photos. One of the plate, and two of the criminal act. No photo of the person driving. How could he blame me? There was no proof.

Hubs studied the ticket. At the very top of the ticket, in very tiny letters it stated the location, date and time of the red-light-running. The location lead me to believe that it was Hubs. He usually takes my son to football practice in that area. See. Not my fault.

The only problem was the date and time: Sept. 15 at 7:51am. That was a Wednesday. Morning.

"What is on that corner? Why in the world would I be going to that intersection at that time of day?" I asked.
"Wal-Mart," Hubs replied.

Ding-ding-ding. Now it all came back to me.

Kobe had no clean shirts to wear. He was already short on polo's so he and I had quickly ran to Wal-Mart to buy him some shirts. Apparently a little too quickly.

The ticket also had a link that took you to a video of me running the red light. Hubs pulled it up, then invited all the children to come and watch me break the law. It was a great family activitu which lead to much discussion about how Mommy had broken the law and how they should never do it....and "Why would you break the law, Mommy" and "You could have killed someone...", etc.

Thanks honey! Appreciate it.

And that is why the ticket will remain in his name.

Pffffftttt!
